Literature Text

The most ingenious invention came from God.

It was the invention of Himself.

The invention of a God, or giving humanity an awareness of God, permitted human beings to develop morals and codes that allowed them to collaborate in a settled society, or a nomadic one, so that men would work together and help one another even if they had nothing to gain from some specific action – it inspired selflessness. You would not steal, take, deceive, or rape because that was wrong in the eyes of the God who created you, who could punish you if you chose to do something that would upset Him. God quelled a piece of man's wild nature, a piece of the violence, a piece of the greed, a piece of the lust and gluttony and envy and wrath. God quelled a piece of man's pride so that he no longer stood alone in the world, so that his fellow men were brothers, companions, so that he had equals. Through the awareness of God came the creation of the Bible as either God put words into the mouths of men, or men interpreted their awareness of God and put their perception into words.

Humanity fills the pages of the Bible, for humanity is the race that was selected to have a mind which was capable of perceiving God, that was capable of perceiving right and right, capable of consciousness and guilt, as well as gratification and elation. And even if the Bible was never read, even if 'God' was never heard of, man possessed the internal awareness of the rules that had been set upon their existence, the internal awareness of a presence which requested that their actions flow along a certain path of consistency in order for their existence to have tranquility. If thou were to covet thy neighbor's wife, and if thou were to take her by force from her husband, the woman's husband would follow thee and track thee down, he would rend all peace until he caught hold of the coveter, the thief, whose hand he would still forever. If one being takes what belongs to another, the being who was wronged will experience the inherent desire to reverse the wrong or punish the wrong doer, both if enough passion fills the being's chest. The awareness of God warns man of his own nature by keeping men alert, by making them aware of themselves, of their actions, behavior, and decisions, of their responses, emotions, and of their breaking points. You take a man too far, you do too much to wrong him, that man will turn all of his earthly malice upon your head. If you inspire hatred, you will burn.

If you inspire wrath in God, who created man in His image, then you will also burn. If you do not listen to His words, you will approach folly and misfortune. If you do not give Him the respect He deserves, as your Father, your Creator, your Lord, and your Savior; if you are blind, and if you are ungrateful, then eternal peace will suffer along with your relationship with men who are deserving of your respect.

If you forgive, you will teach your brother to forgive. If you listen, you will teach your brother to listen. If you persecute, you will teach your brother to persecute. If you kill, you will teach your brother how he might someday chose to take your life. If you live peacefully upon the laws that do not inspire aggression, the world of men becomes calmer. Peace will spread. Violence infects bodies more quickly, but if man abstains from violence and if he abstains from wronging his brother, Cain will not murder Abel, the unity of the family will first be set, and then strengthened, and then it shall be preserved.
